Patrick Reynolds

Biography

Patrick Reynolds, is a Philadelphian. He started developing his talents on the Atlantic City broad-walk,
selling his sketches and portraits for art school tuition. He obtained a position in a full service sign shop,
specializing in creative advertisements, display posters, and show cards for department stores.

In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and serving in the Brown Water Navy and honorably discharged after six plus
years. Keeping his dream alive of being a full time artist, he used his VA benefits to further his education.
While in school he obtained a position at a full service sign and print shop. Blending his classroom
instruction and practical application, where old school meets new school, helped him develop his own
style. Patrick, has earned a living as a sign painter, portrait artist, muralist, book cover illustrator and art
instructor.

He has entered juried exhibits, and earned awards. He has illustrations in books in the Library of Congress. He has been applauded by the Merchant Marine Academy for his mixed media of the Inca,
Steam Tug, which is one of the three vessels on the Mariner’s license.

He is a lifetime member of Portrait Artists of America. Patrick, had a gallery of his own works in 1990’s in Brunswick, GA. There he also dealt with a few 20th Century Impressionistic European Masters, and Contemporary Pop culture artists.

You will find Patrick’s works in all sizes and mediums. He loves maritime art, and especially likes to
paint minitures on canvas’s 2 1/2″ x 3 12″.
