Margaret Bean is a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida. Before retiring, she enjoyed a 35-year career as a dedicated dental assistant. Her artistic talent emerged early, and by the age of eight, she began formal training with locally renowned artist Maxine Carter. She later continued her studies with respected local artists Marion Weston and Teresa Grillo.

Drawn to the natural beauty of clouds, water, and reflections, Margaret developed a deep passion for landscape painting—particularly the coastal scenes of her beloved Florida. This fascination led her to become a devoted plein air painter, capturing the essence of the Gulf Coast with vivid light and color.

Margaret is an active member of Pensacola Arts Inc. and has been a displaying member of Quayside Art Gallery since 2009 and the Eastern Shore Art Center since 2019, where she also volunteers her time. Her work reflects a lifelong love of nature and a commitment to sharing its beauty with others.
