Dave LeCroix is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He joined the Navy shortly after high school and was stationed all over the western Pacific. When he retired from the Navy, he started hanging out at the Ft Shafter Skills Development Center near Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. That’s where his woodworking career started. He learned from the woodworkers there how to make several types of boxes, including jewelry, flag, shadow, and memory boxes. When he moved to Las Vegas in December of 2000, he set up a small woodshop in his garage and continued his love of woodworking. Now fully retired, he moved to Pensacola in September 2019 where he can woodwork all he wants.
