Born in 1957, in the Midwest to artist parents, Robin was exposed to the Arts at a early age. As a young child Robin was taught how to crochet by a left handed Grandmother and sewing textiles by a Great Aunt. In the late 1970′s and early 1980′s Robin attended Central Missouri State University and California College for Health sciences. Graduating as a Respiratory Therapist, Robin works full time as a Register Respiratory Therapist at a local Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
In the mid 1980′s Robin took her first Oil Painting classes in Kansas City, Missouri. Robin Painted for the next five years, giving most of her Art work to family and friends. In 1992 Robin left Kansas City and headed to southern Missouri. Robin continued her love of textile and quilt making. In 1992 Both her parents Ray and Sara Zehr, retired from long professional careers, and returned to their love of art. Robin became inspired by her Mother’s Ceramic Art. This is when Robin found her true passion. Learning from her mother and taking Ceramic Art classes at Pensacola Junior College, Robin has found her life long passion in Clay.

Robin moved to Pensacola in 2001. She has her own ceramic art studio in her home and enjoys making functional pottery. Robin and her Mother display their Art work at fine Art shows along the gulf coast. Robin became a member of the Quayside Art Gallery in 2006. She is a volunteer at Pensacola State College in the Ceramic Art Department. In 2005, She became a member of the Gulf Coast Kiln Society. In 2009, Robin became the Vice-President of Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society. She is the chairman of the First Annual Gulf Coast Clay Conference, sponsored by the GCKWS and hosted by Pensacola State College. In 2010, she became a volunteer for Manna Food Bank (Pick a bowl and fill a bowl fundraiser committee), incorporating her artwork into helping the community.
Currently, Robin is only a hobbyist in her pottery but hopes one day being able to spend every day doing her true passion.
