Patricia Born paints with ceramic enamel glazes directly onto a tile instead of paper or canvas. They are fired in a kiln many times at descending glaze temperatures. The paintings will not fade, scratch, or mildew. From painting large multi-tile murals to small 4 inch portraits, she finds this new, yet old, medium an exciting challenge.
She is a Pensacola native with a background in advertising and interior design. Her work can be seen at the Quayside Gallery in Pensacola, FL and the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope, Alabama.
