Early in my art studies, I was introduced to oils. Over the years, I have tried other mediums, but I always return to traditional oils because their vibrant colors are perfect for landscapes and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Their buttery texture is ideal to build sculptured effects I frequently like to create in my artwork. Also, I know the brilliant colors will stand the test of time and never fade. Although I have been painting for decades, the process of learning and experimenting continues. Each painting presents a new challenge.
