Darlene Homrighausen has been “making art” for as long as she can remember. She started in grade school and has never stopped. She has studied at Ursuline College, the University of Louisville and Pensacola Junior College and with many renowned artists including Miles Batt, Carol Barnes and Doug Walton. Painting in an abstract style, her self-expression is more important to her than her subject matter, though her inspiration may be as common as a car engine or a crack in the sidewalk. She is a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society, and her works have been accepted and honored with awards in numerous juried shows. Her works hang in many private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
