Reid H. Leonard, Ph. D. (biochemistry from Univ. Wisconsin with a Forest Products minor) became involved with the Pensacola art community in 1972 with his woodworking hobby. He is an honorary life member of Pensacola Artists, Inc. His pieces include a line of collectible furniture for small spaces such as chairside, lamp, foyer, coffee and display tables, semainiers, sugar chest files and cabinets. He has done indoor shows in Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia and Charlotte. His son, Leland who acquired experience in Grand Rapids and builds custom furniture, is now taking over the show trips. Furniture has been sold to museums, collectors, decorators and the public (about 3000 pieces).
