Paul attended Sophia University, University of Maryland, Yuba College, Jefferson State Junior College (A.A.S.) and studied art at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (B.A.).  He is also a charter member and past president of the UAB Art Club.  He has shown his work in a variety of mediums including work as a sculptor, silk-screen printmaker, design, and water media artist. Several of his acrylic paintings were purchased for display at the UAB School of Education.

Paul also illustrated training modules, designed logos/signage, and created posters for special emphasis programs for Delta Air Lines during his twenty-nine year career.

"As a retired Delta employee and my wife a "still working" travel agent, we have been afforded the perfect opportunity for travel, here and abroad.  Much of the subject matter in my paintings has been inspired by our travels to various European cities, quaint villages and small towns as well as European river cruises."  Paul paints primarily from photographs and prefers to work on several paintings simultaneously.   "Since each of my paintings are different, I don't lose my enthusiasm for painting".
