Joy has been creating custom stained and etched glass for 18 years, first at her specialty door and window business in Jackson, CA and, since her retirement here on the Gulf Coast, she is creating her own designs for galleries and commission work in her studio in Lillian, AL.

Although pimarily a self taught artist, Joy has taken classes in Jackson CA, and thru the Art Suppliers Assoc. International Conferences in Dallas and Nashville.  She has also been inspired and encouraged by her two sisters who are fine artists.  Even though she loves the structure an technical aspects of working with glass,Joy likes to "work outside the box", pushing the sometimes limiting aspects of glass work and exploring new untried techniques.

Joy has shown her work in galleries in Northern California and Nashville IN.  She is a member of Orange Beach Art Center and Quayside Gallery in Pensacola where she is currently the Gallery Director.
