Elizabeth "Beth" Cyr was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, where she attended Pensacola High School and Pensacola Junior College.
Beth's pursuit of a mortgage loan officer career took her to the Washington, D.C. area where she met and married Leo Cyr. In the ensuing years, they lived in St. Petersburg and Orlando, FL; Seattle, WA; Minneapolis, MN; and Corpus Christi, TX. In 1995, Beth and Leo moved to Gulf Breeze, FL where they still live today.
Beth's interest in pottery began in 2001. As she explains, "there was something magical about turning mud into such delicate works of art." The Calla Lily, which thrives in her garden, has been a favorite theme used to adorn her pottery from the very beginning. These lilies are painstakingly made by hand and affixed to the artwork prior to firing.
In her short career, Beth has won recognition including a 2nd and a 3rd place at the Gulf Breeze Art Festival. Why pottery…"It's such a compliment when someone purchases a piece of my work".
